Protect Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Data When Working Remotely
Do you work from home or travel often? The Office of Information Technology recommends using our Virtual Private Network (VPN). The VPN provides you with a user-friendly way to connect securely back to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é resources, ensuring that all of your data traveling to and from your computer is protected from prying eyes.
To establish a secure VPN connection, the system will perform a health check of your computer before granting access to the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é network. If there are required remediation efforts, the system will provide you with guidance.
You will also need to have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configured so that you can properly authenticate to the VPN.
Once your computer is connected to the VPN, it is recognized as an Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é computer, allowing you to connect to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é restricted resources, all of your standard network drives, and printers. Your computer will also benefit from the additional security protections provided by the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é intrusion prevention and intrusion detection systems.
Instructions for connecting to the VPN are available in our online Knowledge Base, linked below.
